PE produced from petroleum sources (ethylene) can be used in terms of cost such as plastic garbage bags, water pipes, packaging films, low pressure hoses (<5 bar).
It is a commercial polymer used in sensitive and low pressure applications. The polyethylene range is divided into 2 groups:
• High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
• Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) offers better mechanical properties than Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) without sacrificing flexibility.
Both versions offer excellent water barrier properties at temperatures up to +60°C.
